Golden Bay (2-3 days)

Golden Bay (Mohua) is a secluded bay located at the northwestern tip of New Zealand's South Island. Enclosed by the forested hills of Kahurangi and Abel Tasman National Parks, this sun-drenched pocket is famous for its arts community, golden beaches, and natural wonders.

From Motueka follow the winding road over Tākaka Hill, a scenic drive that takes about two hours from Nelson.
