We provide on-site photography services to tell a compelling visual story about your business. We specialise in the accommodation and hospitality sectors but also work with other Distinctively Kiwi businesses.
Why are good photos important?
Good images attract customers. I like to create images so that when people see them they want to be in that place. It motivates people to go there and see something in person.
What photos will I take in a session that you book with Distinctively Kiwi?
I work in terms of settings. A setting can be a room, an outdoor environment, portrait photography of host or staff, an activity, a food setting (e.g. breakfast or dinner provided to guests), a product, etc.
For each setting I will take a range of photos. You will be able to choose two to three of these photos (per setting) as your final chosen photos.
Do you need to be present for the photo shoot?
Yes
How do I prepare for the photo shoot?
Please make sure that the settings are ready before the agreed time i.e. that the room or setting is set up as it would be prior to one of your clients entering the space.
We are keen to photograph the best first impression of each setting. You may wish to have some items available to enhance the setting e.g. fresh flowers or other small items that you might offer guests when they arrive
How long will it take before you receive the photos?
You will receive the photos within one week.
Who owns and uses the photos that I take?
You and I will both own the final photos that you select for each setting. We can both use these photos however we wish to in future marketing and promotional activities. If you are using the photos I have taken please add a photo credit (Distinctively Kiwi).
What do I get in a standard photo shoot?
A standard photo shoot comprises 4 to 6 settings. You can choose two to three photos from each setting. You will receive 12-18 final images in total in the standard business photography package. The standard business photography package price is $600
Are additional photo settings available?
Additional photo settings are approx $100 to $150 per setting.
What experience does Distinctively Kiwi have photographing accommodation businesses?
Clem has been a commercial photographer of hotels, motels, and lodges all around Aotearoa New Zealand for more than eight years under the name Hotshotz Photography. Clem also produced a line of retail gift cards featuring his photography which sold in outlets in Auckland and Northland.
